A very different project, a toybox.
I had a long project where I wanted to create a toybox for my son. I illustrated two versions of the same scene, a summer and winter version of a Finnish forest with small animals and friends for him to discover. The top most layer is split into parts that form a jigsaw puzzle, the pieces slowly revealing the scene. The illustrations were printed and lasercut on birch plywood after which I assembled the pieces, glued them together and did some final fixes.
The actual container underneath is an old flower pot which I repainted to match the illustrations better. I even managed to find a nice rubber strap to place on top of the edge.
